MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 21, 2011 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr. and Steven DellaGiustina
Also Present: Wayne Carr and Joanne Duval
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
The Board of Selectmen met with Wayne Carr to discuss his Fiscal 2012 Budget ($89,650). The board removed two items from his budget request; $5,000 for a tree service and $1,000 for Office Equipment. The Selectboard has asked Wayne to review his budget request and prepare “a plan of work” and meet with them again on Monday, April 4th
Joanne Duval presented a Fiscal 2012 budget for Animal Control Officer, Animal Inspector and Transfer Station.
Joanne has requested an Animal Control Expense Budget of $750 which is level funded from last year. She has also asked for an Animal Control Salary of $250 and an Animal Inspector Salary of $500. The Animal Inspector Salary is mandated by Mass General Law.
Nomination of Inspector of Animals paperwork was signed.
Joanne will be rewriting Tolland’s Dog Bylaw which may include a pick up fee of $25 and an impoundment fee of $10/per night.
Transfer Station Fiscal 2011 budget “broke even”. Fiscal 2012 budget was reviewed and Joanne will be contacting the “Special Users” to discuss their use. Joanne will meet back with the board to discuss the budget further.
